# My Alignment (What This Actually Looks Like For Me)

When I say “alignment,” I mean:
**my life starts matching how my inside actually works.**

Not how it *should* work.
Not what people *expect*.
How it works in me.

## Before alignment (what happens in real life)

When I’m not aligned yet, this is what it looks like:

– I shut down.
– I get quiet.
– I look like I’m “keeping up,” but I’m not.
– I look like I’m ahead, but I’m actually behind.
– And I’m praying I can follow through properly without anyone noticing how hard it is.

A lot of the time you don’t see it.
Because I’m still *there*.
I’m still trying.
I’m still present.
But inside, I’m overloaded.

## The hardest part: I understand myself, but I still can’t change fast enough

This is the part I need people to get:

– I can *understand* what’s happening…
– but I still can’t *change it in the moment*…
– because my body is already in it.

Sometimes I don’t even know if it’s my “body” or my “brain.”
All I know is: something takes over and I lose access to my voice.

## Why it’s so hard for me to speak in the moment

This isn’t me being distant.
This isn’t me not caring.
This is my wiring.

My biggest blockers are:

– **time blindness** (I can’t track time the way other people do)
– **delayed processing** (I understand it later, not instantly)
– **RSD** (rejection sensitivity makes speaking feel dangerous)
– **shutdown** (my system goes quiet to survive)

So in the moment:
I might not have words.
Or the words come out wrong.
Or I freeze because I’m afraid of making it worse.

## The truth under all of this

Even when I’m quiet, I’m still trying.
Even when I’m shut down, I still care.
Even when I can’t talk, I still love her.

I need to practice saying this to myself:

**“I love her. I’m not failing. I’m overloaded. I’m processing. I will find my words.”**

## What I need (simple, honest, doable)

When I go quiet, what helps is:

– a little more time
– less pressure to respond instantly
– reassurance that I’m not in trouble
– space to come back with words later
– and someone remembering that quiet doesn’t mean absence

## My anchor sentence (for the moment I freeze)

If I can only say one thing, let it be:

**“I’m here. I’m overloaded. I need a minute. I’ll come back with words.”**
