Not to beg.
Not to convince.
Not to relive the past.
Just to see if he would show up. He’s been wanting someone to show up for him someone that doesn’t make him feel like an ultimatum. You said I made you feel like let you have no choice and no value in our marriage but I had told you every day were we’re together that I loved you I was in bed every night next to you. Doesn’t that prove something we are nearing three years separated and I can say I still love you the same.. you think I lie you think I’m scheme, I think we both got hurt and our traumas took over. Deal done we never have to talk about that. I just want to love you again there is this burning inside and no side jokes and I’m clean and healthy except for a lot more teeth missing but I’m getting done this year/
Just to see if he would come see me — the real me. Not the version shaped by trauma. Not the one surviving on adrenaline. Not the one fighting to be understood. Just me, steady, open, not performing strength or control. In this version you it’s difffient I can control skit g
I’m starting my life over either way.
That part isn’t about him. It’s about survival. It’s about finally choosing stability. My family is there. Roots are there. A place to land is there. Florida isn’t a romantic gesture — it’s a reset.
But I won’t pretend there isn’t something else folded inside that decision.
If I’m there… would he come see me?
Not to get back together.
Not to rewrite everything.
Not to make promises.
Just to stand in front of me and see who I am now.
Because I don’t need guarantees anymore. I don’t need vows spoken in panic or longing. I just need truth.
If I’m within reach, will he reach?
I don’t even care if we never get back together. I mean that. What I care about is knowing he’s near. Knowing that if one day he’s ready — really ready — I won’t be states away rebuilding alone.
I’ll be there.
And I won’t be waiting in desperation.
I’ll be building. Healing. Working. Becoming steady.
That’s the difference now.
This isn’t chasing a man.
This isn’t trying to reclaim a husband.
This isn’t trying to undo what happened.
This is me choosing ground that supports me.
And if he shows up?
He won’t find someone broken asking to be chosen.
He’ll find a man who chose himself first.
A man who rebuilt.
A man who can look him in the eye without needing anything — only offering presence.
If he never comes, I still win.
If he never calls, I still rebuild.
If he never stands in front of me again, I still have my family, my reset, my next chapter.
But if he does?
He’ll find me ready.
Not desperate.
Not chasing.
Just real.
